My favorite Bible verse is Romans 12:12.
"Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer."
This is a simple scripture, but a good reminder to me, and one I put on my sticks. There's also a story behind this one...
During the 2005-2006 season, I was having a good year, but I injured my knee at the end of December. We were hoping to make the playoffs, and I was worried that I'd miss it all. As I was helped into the dressing room, I looked at the clock, and it was stopped at 12:12. I remember I was just struck by that reminder that God is in control, and it really helped me to relax and to trust Him.
